Ki Sisa Tzedaka Kior Materials and Instructions: Purchace Rubbermaid's "Take Alongs" plastic bowls 5 to a package for $1.97 and "Color Spray" Premium Enamel" in 24 kt gold for $1.88 both at WalMart. Unfortunately I could not find brass or copper color. If you do , make sure paint will adhere to plastic. Also 1 roll of Duct tape and 1 roll aluminum foil.. Tear off 2 sheets of foil 12 inch by 12 inch for each child.. Have the children fold each sheet in half repeatedly until they get about a 3 inch square (see pic). Roll this square into a strand the shape and width of a finger. Then bend the strand into the shape of spickets (see pic). The bowls suggested have extensions on each side on the top, these extensions are good to use to tape the foil spickets to either side of the bowl. If possible have the children use thin strips of tape to make the project look neater. After "spickets" are taped spray paint project and let dry for about 20 minutes. Dont forget to paint the lids as well. The lid is removable so no slot is needed for Tzedaka. |
