This project is a paper transformer toy. A transformer is a toy that a child can manipulate to change it's form to another toy. Children love to play with transformers. They like to figure out how the toy transforms into something special. This transformer project is easy to make and very economical The lesson shows a relationship between Yaacov and Yisroel in a very fun way! Don't get overwhelmed with the directions, just try it, this is easier than it sounds. Click on to the printout links, copy them, and . glue them back to back. On the "Yisroel" side of the paper fold the paper in half from left to right and in half again the same way. This should make the paper into fourths. On the arms of Yisroel you will see two lines above and below each arm, cut along these lines just until the first crease for each arm (see pictures). Fold the arm flaps out and stand up the paper by folding the paper into a box shape (see pictures). This completes the Yisroel part of this project. Flatten the paper and fold paper in half from top to bottom. Now place folded paper so that you see Yaacov's picture on the left side of the folded page. Fold the paper in half from left to right and then in half again from left to right Unfold the paper so that Yaacov's picture is on the left again like you did before. Now set up Yaacov by sliding the 2 ends of the paper into each other as shown. To transform back to Yisroel just crease the folds again. . |
